MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
Today what we see on television, read online or in newspapers, and hear on the radio are often violent, disturbing, shocking and threatening to our overall health and well-being. Unfortunately there is not enough nice and positive news around us.
Negative news seems to sell better. Is it true that sensationalized, negative news is what people are accustomed to seeing and hearing? Perhaps that is the reason the media features more negative news than positive news.
Whatever the reason, it is unfortunate and we would like to see that change.
It is a fact that negative news is very stressful and creates high anxiety. These conditions put extra burden on our body and mind, as sited by medical studies. Continuous exposure to negative news can hold us back from performing at our best. Sadly it is not a problem for adults only, but is affecting our children negatively as well.
It is time for us to take serious action. We are here to spread positive news that can make our world a better place to live. We will share little bits of goodness that bring a smile and renew our faith in the human spirit. We all deserve it.

This is the reason a few of us in a little town called Kent, in Washington State are volunteering our time and money to create a website called Nice News Now, where anyone-- regardless of their socio-economic status, religion or political affiliations can read positive, heartwarming and inspiring news.
Nice News Now is also the site where you can share your own "nice news" with millions of people around the world. It costs you nothing but the contribution you are making is enormous. You can be a big part of the change we are about to make.
Unlike other good news networks, Nice News Now is not a business. Our intent is not to make money from this website. Nice News Now is purely a non-profit program. We simply have the desire to make people feel better and feel more positive by sharing "nice news".
